Sky Burial was written about a year ago in collaboration with African Australian musician Julian Bel- Bachir of the legendary band OKA. His kora playing was a counterpart to some programmed harp lines and added a live element that while remaining subtle still pushed this song into an entirely new space.

In a way, I felt this song is the epitome of what I go for with my style in terms of mood - an otherworldly quality and richness of colour and warmth to the sonic palette. Perhaps this marks a finality of sorts in terms of searching for this balance of sounds and particular musical mood.

A boom-bap groove is implied (but not played) and the percussive clicks push the groove alongside some rhythm guitar parts played by Ben Panucci creating a feel uptempo while slow and cerebral at the same time.
